MCAA's MASONRY STRONG Live Coming To Florida

Words: Jeff Buczkiewicz

PLEASE NOTE: THE MCAA STILL INTENDS ON FULLY PARTICIPATING IN WORLD OF CONCRETE, WHICH HAS BEEN MOVED TO JUNE 8-10, 2021.

The MCAA is excited to announce that we will be holding an Annual Meeting from February 7th-10th, 2021. The meeting will be held at the South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island in Florida. Among meeting, networking, and enjoying some golf, the venue will also serve as host of the first-ever MASONRY STRONG Live event.

MASONRY STRONG Live, inspired by the success of 2020’s Interactive Speed Dating during our Midyear Meeting, will consist of 10 industry suppliers presenting 10-minute educational segments outside to a live audience of MCAA Annual Meeting attendees. In addition to the 10 educational segments, we will feature about six short tips (that you probably couldn’t learn elsewhere) from contractors who are well known in the industry. The entire show will be broadcast later that day on Facebook, YouTube, and the MCAA website. It’s not something to miss.

Along with this new event, the MCAA will be rolling out a totally-revised Foreman Development Course that will be held on Sunday, February 7th from 8:00 AM — 4:00 PM. This new version of the class was developed by a team of mason contractors who put together the material they have deemed essential to the development of new foremen. Perfect for new foremen, this class would be perfect for people contractors see as possible candidates for the role. The second part of this class will come in 2022, and will be more advanced for current foremen.

Also back for our Annual Meeting will be our Contractor Round Table discussions, beautiful scenery, and great company.

More details will be available on the upcoming websites masonrystrong.com and annualmeeting.masoncontractors.org.
