The beautiful new Memorial Luthern Church, Vancouver, Washington, provides its worshipers with a pleasant blending of the functional and aesthetic characteristics of masonry construction to create a mood of reverence. The functional grouted masonry walls are highlighted by the red, brown and bronze tones of the brick and are further accented by the use of native cedar solar screen panels.

Stained glass windows illuminate the full, rich colors of the masonry wall that forms the rerados for the altar. Skillfully combining shapes and forms with quality building materials and securing qualified skilled craftsmen under the direction of a responsible mason contractor, the architects have created an outstanding religious structure for the community.
