CONFERENCE REPORT

in the Knoxville Room of the Opryland Hotel. Following roll call and the filing of reports by Officers, Regional Vice Presidents and Committee Chairmen, the Chair called upon Charles Velardo, Chairman of the Constitution & Bylaws Committee to present the proposed changes to the MCAA Constitution & By-laws. Those considered and unanimously approved by the annual meeting were to Article III, Section I, B. 1a & 1c and to Article XX, Section 1.

The slate of officers for the coming two years was presented by Mr. Brown, Chairman of the Nominating Committee. In accordance with the Constitution & Bylaws, nominations were open to the floor. There being none, the Chair accepted a motion from the floor that nominations be closed and the Secretary be directed to cast one for the slate as presented, with the slate being unanimously accepted. Elected officers are:

* Robert Hatch, Pasadena, CA, president
* Richard Felice, Des Moines, IA, vice president
* Richard Matthews, Miamisburg, OH, secretary
* L.C. Pardue, Jr., Tualatin, OR, treasurer

Elected regional vice presidents are:

Region B-Mack Pettit, Spartanburg, SC
Region C-Edgar Boettcher, III, Traverse City, MI
Region D-Donald Larsen, Itasca, IL

Following the election of officers, the members stood and acknowledged the fine work that President Brown and his fellow officers had done during the past two years. There being no further business, the annual meeting was adjourned.

On Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m., the members and their wives gathered in the Ballroom of the Opryland Hotel for the President's Reception and the annual banquet. Then the entire group was bused to the Grand Ole Opry for the late evening performance which marked the finale of the '88 Conference.

NOTE: The preceding report constitutes the Secretary's minutes of the 1988 MCAA International Masonry Conference. A copy of the minutes is on file at the MCAA Executive Office and may be reviewed by interested members of the Association.
