Construction officials chosen to lead The Builders in 2012

The Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania has announced the 2012 officers.
The 2012 slate of officers and executive committee members who will lead The Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania (The Builders) next year is set. The group was elected at The Builders’ annual meeting this evening, December 7, for a one-year term. They are:

President: Joe DeSalvo, Executive Vice President, DeSalvo Construction Company, Inc., based in Hubbard, Ohio

Residence: Howland, OH

Mr. DeSalvo began his career at his parents’ company, DeSalvo Construction, as a field laborer, moved to project management and estimating, and then to his present position as EVP within eight years. He is one of the first construction professionals in the country to earn the Certified Healthcare Constructor credential from the American Hospital Association and the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. Mr. DeSalvo serves on many committees for The Builders, is a trustee for the Bricklayers’ Local 43 Pension Fund and the Carpenters’ Unemployment Benefit Fund, and is a management member on several local arbitration committees. He is a graduate of YSU in marketing, management and economics. He and his wife, Cammie, have four children ranging in age from 10 to 5.
