Rusty Haile is the 2015 Recipient of Acme Brick Company’s President’s Award.
This award is presented to the Acme Brick associate whose efforts reflect the type of performance that has made the company successful over its 124-year history.  Specifically, candidates must demonstrate exceptional ability in their area of responsibility and extraordinary service to Acme Brick Company and its customers. Rusty joined Acme’s Houston sales team in 1990.  In a part of the city where other reps had struggled, Rusty thrived and in his second year sold more than 10 million brick. That achievement earned him admission to the President's Club Ring of Honor, Acme's highest recognition for sales associates. He went on to win that award for eight consecutive years. Stan McCarthy, Acme’s Senior Vice President of Sales, nominated Rusty Haile for the President's Award. “Rusty is outstanding at taking ownership and accepting challenges within our company," Stan wrote in his nomination statement. " His success in residential sales resulted in a promotion to residential sales manager for Acme’s southern region in 2002 and then for the northeast Texas region in 2004.  He next mastered the commercial end of our business, and is now taking on the biggest challenge of his career.  Because of his leadership, Acme has taken the initiative of selling our commercial products direct in the Houston market after 25 years of selling through a distributor. "Finally," Stan added, "Rusty has demonstrated a desire to do what’s best for Acme Brick Company throughout his career by accepting responsibility in a variety of positions and locations when called upon.  All these positions were left better as a result of his efforts.  And, because of Rusty Haile, Acme Brick stands a greater chance of accomplishing the company’s goals for the future.”
