NCMA Names New Officers
During the National Concrete Masonry Association's 43rd Annual Convention held in Dallas, Texas, February 3-7, Regional Vice Presidents and Directors for 1963 were recently elected and officially installed by retiring NCMA President for 1962, Paul M. Thomas.
Vice President for Region I, which includes New England and the middle Atlantic states, is Edmund H. Brooke, President, National Brick and Supply Company, Washington, D. C.
Representing nine southeastern states, Puerto Rico and the West Indies is Samuel M. Bailey, Vice President of Region 11. Mr. Bailey is President of the Jackson Stone Company, Jackson, Mississippi.
Teddy A. Utiger, Vice President and Executive Secretary, Cinder Concrete Products, Inc., Denver, Colorado, was elected Vice President for Region III, composed of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and the southwestern states.
Vice President from Region IV, which includes the far western states, Alaska and Hawaii, is Pete Muth, co-owner and General Manager, Orco Block Company, Stanton, California.
Region V, covering seven middle western states, elected Lyle E. Spooner as Vice President. He is President and General Manager of Northwest Concrete Products Company, St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Vice President for Region VI, which is comprised of the Great Lakes states, is Ralph Walb, President of the Masolite Division of General Dredging Company, Inc., Fort Wayne, Indiana.
New NCMA Directors named were Charles Burgess, President, Cinder Block Company of Richmond, Inc., Richmond, Virginia, Region 1; William H. Sweeny, President, Selma Concrete Products Company, Inc., Selma, Alabama, Region II; Ray A. Browning, President, Capitol Concrete Products Company, Inc., Topeka, Kansas, Region III; E. P. Ripley, President, General Concrete Products, Inc., Van Nuys, California, and Louis P. Hoffman, President, Western Block Company, Nampa, Idaho, Region IV; Jack A. Crabbs, President, Austin Crabbs, Inc., Davenport, Iowa, Region V; and R. M. Bonus, President, Hay-Con Tile Company, Detroit, Michigan, and O. H. Seeger, Vice President and General Manager, Harry Wellnitz Company, Columbus, Ohio, Region VI.
