Selected For Insurance Program
Members will be interested in knowing that MCAA's insurance consultant, Fred S. James & Co., have been selected to administer the insurance program for construction of the West's largest multi-purpose development project, Embarcadero Center in San Francisco.
The 150 million dollar Center, which will take 6 to 8 years to complete, will include 25, 45 and 60 story office buildings, an 800 room hotel, 3 theatres, numerous stores and enclosed parking facilities. 9,000 man years of work are involved. Fireman's Fund American Insurance Co. has been awarded a 5 million dollar contract to provide the Workmen's Compensation and General Liability insurance.
The James organization already heads a group established to handle all insurance for the Bay Area Transit System, a 1.2 billion dollar project of enormous magnitude. Fifty million man hours of work will go into that job.
What? Not Covered!
(Continued from page 27) title or of slogan, committed or alleged to have been committed in any advertisement, publicity article, broadcast or telecast and arising out of the Named Insured's advertising activities."
Products Liability and Completed Operations
Essentially similar to the definitions appearing in Comprehensive General Liability policy forms.
Ultimate Net Loss
This is a rather involved definition of loss, constituting claim settlement payments, investigation and litigation expenses. Because it excludes the salaries of employees and office expenses of the insured or other expenses recoverable through any other valid and collectible insurance, the definition must be treated as a limitation in this context.
Insured
Although appreciably broader than similar definitions appearing in underlying primary liability insurance policies, we consider it as a limitation here because, among other things, the Umbrella definition excludes fellow-employee suits.
What? Not Covered! will be continued in next month's MASONRY.

MASONRY EXHIBITED!
Masonry products on display at the Portland Federal Savings and Loan Association, Portland, Oregon, feature thin cut units of face brick mounted on plywood with concrete blocks separating the pathways. Not a permanent part of the exhibit is Elizabeth Jaramillo, who is enjoying a brief rest from her fall shopping.
