MEET YOUR BOARD
Members of Masonry Magazine's Editorial Review Board are industry leaders who actively participate in establishing editorial direction and achieving goals. This month, we introduce five of our thirteen members.

J. GREGG BORCHELT
J. GREGG BORCHELT, Director of Engineering and Research for the Brick Institute of America, he has spent more than twenty years in the masonry industry. He has previously served as the Executive Director for the Masonry Institute of Texas and has taught a construction materials course at Rice University in Houston. He's done consulting work for Wiss Janney Elstner Associates, and has served as Regional Director and Vice President of the Construction Specifications Institute, and is currently CSI Treasurer. Former Chairman of Committee C15 on Manufactured Masonry Units of the American Society for Testing and Materials, Borchelt is now Vice Chairman of C15 and Chairman of Subcommittee C15.02 on Clay Brick and Tile. Other active memberships include The Masonry Society, the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Concrete Institute. A graduate of Purdue University with a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, he also has a masters degree in Structures from Purdue. He's a Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and Texas and author of several papers and articles on masonry related subjects.

CHARLES W. OSTRANDER
CHARLES W. OSTRANDER, Executive Director of the Illinois Masonry Institute, is a founding member of The Masonry Society, a past Director of the Structural Engineers Association and a member of ASCE. He's also an engineering consultant for programs developed by the Masonry Advisory Council and the Illinois, Indiana Masonry Council. Ostrander has served as a guest lecturer at the University of Notre Dame Architectural School, the University of Illinois Architectural School at the Urbana and Chicago Campuses, the Illinois Institute of Technology Architectural School, Northwestern University Engineering College, and Valaparaiso University Engineering College. He's a graduate of the University of Illinois with a BS degree in Civil Engineering and a registered Professional Engineer in Illinois. He has authored numerous masonry articles.
