Ontario Council Slates Design Awards Program
The Ontario Masons' Relations Council will present its 17th annual Unit Masonry Architectural Design Awards Program on February 18, 1982 at the Prince Hotel, Toronto. The presentations will be made during a joint luncheon with the Ontario Association of Architects, which will be holding its annual convention February 18-20. The awards competition is sponsored by the Ontario Region of the Clay Brick Association of Canada, the Ontario Provincial Conference of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen, the Ontario Concrete Block Association, and the Ontario Masonry Contractors Association.
Sika Acquires Conco
Conco Corp., Columbus, Ohio, a 10-year-old supplier of admixtures for the concrete industry, has become a wholly owned subsidiary of Sika Corp., Lyndhurst, N.J. Sika, with facilities in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, is part of the worldwide Sika organization serving the concrete and related industries.
Canadians Hold First Joint Masonry Conference
The first Canadian Joint Conference-co-sponsored by the Canadian Masonry Contractors Association, Clay Brick Association of Canada and the National Concrete Producers Association-was held recently at the Toronto Hilton Harbour Castle, Toronto, Ont. The three national groups held concurrent meetings during the conference and jointly attended the technical and social functions.
