New York educators get the details on Module III.

DESIGN MODULE III
continued from page 7

Seminars were conducted by Dr. James Colville, associate dean of engineering, University of Maryland, and Robert J. Beiner, director of engineering for IMI.

According to Beiner, subsequent correspondence with the attendees indicated that 24 universities will start new masonry courses or add masonry to an existing course. Thirteen others will use the material to expand existing masonry courses.
There are 194 accredited engineering schools in the U.S. and Canada, of which about 35 taught masonry in some fashion prior to the introduction of IMI's Educational Syllabus. The ultimate goal, Beiner said, is to have masonry taught in all 194 schools to ensure a continuous flow of engineers knowledgeable in masonry design.

IMI's Educational Syllabus consists of three separate modules and sets forth presently accepted procedures necessary to design with masonry materials. The program was developed specifically for educators to enable them to develop a masonry course with minimal effort.

The fear

often fatal.

If you're afraid of
cancer...you're not alone.
But some people are so afraid that they won't go to the doctor when they suspect something's wrong.
They're afraid the doctor might "find some thing." This kind of fear can prevent them from discovering cancer in the early stages when it is most often curable.
These people run the risk of letting cancer scare them to death.
