Through the efforts of the MCAA Management Institute and the Masonry Systems Marketing Committee, three top-flight educational seminars are being scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, January 12-13, prior to the official opening of the '88 MCAA International Masonry Conference. Take advantage of this opportunity to expand your knowledge in these technical fields. This is an opportunity you can't afford to miss.

Stone Panels II
Tuesday and Wednesday, January 12 and 13

Registration Fee: Active MCAA Member, $185; Non-Member, $235; each additional person from the same firm, $150.

The MCAA Masonry Panels Committee has developed this unique course to supplement the Stone Panel presentation conducted during the Dallas Conference. This seminar is designed to address the job site and practical considerations of Stone Panel construction. The topics and speakers include:
* "Engineering, Shop Drawings and Detailing." with Jim Amrhein, Mike Merrigan of the Masonry Institute of America, Los Angeles, and J. Gregg Borchelt of the Masonry Institute of Houston/Galveston as the instructors.
* "Installation and Fabrication," by Turner Smith of Masonry & Concrete Consultants, Inc., Houston.
* "Estimating." by Robert (Buddy) V. Barnes, Jr., CDB Masonry. Dallas.

The final segment will be a round table discussion to be participated in by all attendees concerning the subject matters presented during the seminar.

This seminar will be under the direction of the MCAA Panel Committee, headed by L. C. "Lenny" Pardue, Jr., and will be presented in cooperation with the MCAA Educational Committee, chaired by Sam Lowry.

Masonry Estimating For A Profit
Tuesday and Wednesday, January 12 and 13

Registration Fee: Active MCAA Member, $185; Non-Member, $235; each additional person from the same firm, $150.

MCAA is proud to present the seminar, "Masonry Estimating for a Profit," based on the new and revised edition of the "Masonry Estimating for a Profit" manual, which is widely acclaimed as the authority for masonry construction estimating. Author Jerry G. Pope, Greeley, Colorado, will conduct the 1½ day course, which revolves around the 175 page manual. Included in the discussion will be three new divisions- Computer Use in Construction, Masonry Panel Systems, and Masonry Systems Marketing.

Fee Includes: Attendance, coffee breaks, luncheon on Wednesday, January 13, necessary supplies and a copy of the "Masonry Estimating for a Profit" manual.

Registration Fee: MCAA Members, $50, Non-Member, $100; each additional person from the same firm, $50.

The MCAA Masonry Marketing Systems Committee has developed a top-flight program this year entitled, "Making Money Marketing Masonry." The morning session will be devoted to basic selling techniques and methods, with major emphasis on incorporating references to the Masonry Systems Marketing manual. Each registrant is to receive a copy of the manual. The afternoon session will feature masonry contractors presenting case histories of their successes in marketing masonry on industrial, institutional, commercial, residential and high rise projects.

The seminar will close with a short presentation of materials and assistance available from industry associations and a round table discussion.
