The convention will be full of educational seminars, inspirational speakers, workshops and networking events. Some of this year's professional seminars include "Using your Benefit Plan to Motivate, Retain and Acquire Employees," "Career Mapping: How to Get from Here to There," and "What is Overhead and Where is Profit?" A variety of nearly 20 seminars and workshops are offered, guaranteeing something of interest to almost every woman in construction.

The keynote speaker this year will be Lynn Donohue. Donohue will share stories from her award-winning book "Brick by Brick," detailing how she overcame the early obstacles of her youth and transformed herself from a junior high school dropout to a self-made millionaire.

The convention will also feature industry speaker Norbert W. Young, Jr., President of the McGraw-Hill Companies. Young, a professional architect, will use this presentation to address the current trends in the construction industry.

The 2004 convention will conclude on Friday, August 27th, with the 10th Annual Crystal Vision Awards Banquet. This year's banquet will honor Ingrid Verwey, Crystal Vision Award recipient, and Alise Martiny, Crystal Achievement Award recipient. Both women are being honored for their vision and forward-thinking to promote, expand and encourage the role of women in the industry.

Founded in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1955, NAWIC is an international association serving approximately 6,000 members in nearly 200 chapters in the U.S. and Canada. To learn more about attending the convention, call (800) 552-3506. For more information about NAWIC, visit www.nawic.org.
